Celebrate Christmas with a little Southwestern flair! Join Leslie for Wild & Free Christmas Cards, featuring beautiful desert-inspired holiday designs filled with blooming cactus, warm Christmas colors, festive florals, and rustic details.

In this class, you’ll create a collection of handmade Christmas cards that combine the beauty of the Southwest with traditional holiday touches. Rich reds and greens, plaids, florals, poinsettias, and whimsical desert imagery come together in a wonderfully unexpected Christmas palette.

Leslie will guide you through layering patterned papers, creating dimension, adding embellishments, and assembling the different card designs. You’ll also work with a variety of card layouts and folds, giving you ideas you can recreate with other papers long after class is over.

If you love Christmas crafting but want something a little different from traditional snowflakes and snowmen, these warm desert Christmas cards are a fun way to kick off your holiday cardmaking!

What is the Wild & Free Christmas Cards class?
Wild & Free Christmas Cards is an in-person holiday cardmaking class taught by Leslie at Scraps of Love. Students will create handmade Christmas cards combining Southwestern desert imagery with traditional holiday colors and embellishments.

What will I make?
You’ll create a collection of Christmas cards featuring desert-inspired designs such as cactus and succulents paired with poinsettias, florals, plaid patterns, and traditional Christmas colors.

What techniques will I learn?
You’ll work with patterned paper layering, dimensional elements, embellishments, and different card layouts and folds while learning techniques you can use in future handmade card projects.

What supplies should I bring?
Bring your basic class kit, including a craft mat, wet and dry adhesives, scissors, bone folder, ruler, pencil, tweezers or pick-up tool, and baby wipes. You’ll also need NeoColor II crayons in any shade of red and any shade of yellow.
