Multi-Signature Accordion Book

We’re excited to welcome Dina Wakley, Ranger Signature Designer and internationally recognized mixed media artist, for an afternoon of creative bookmaking!

In Multi-Signature Accordion Book, you’ll create one of Dina’s favorite artist book structures—a unique accordion book with signatures attached to both the “mountains” and the “valleys” of the folded spine. If those terms sound unfamiliar, don’t worry! Dina will guide you through every step of the construction process, making this innovative book surprisingly approachable and incredibly fun to create.

Once the structure is complete, you’ll begin transforming it into a vibrant mixed media masterpiece using paint, gloss, stamps, expressive mark making, and layered collage techniques. Along the way, Dina will share tips for creating colorful pages full of texture, movement, and personality while encouraging you to embrace experimentation and make the project uniquely your own.

The finished book is perfect for art journaling, creative storytelling, favorite quotes, collage, travel memories, or simply displaying as a beautiful piece of mixed media art.

Whether you’re passionate about handmade books or looking to explore a new creative format, this workshop offers techniques you’ll use in countless future projects.

Supplies to Bring

Please bring your Basic Class Kit, including:

• Craft Mat
• Ruler
• Favorite Adhesives (Wet and Dry)
• Detail Scissors
• Bone Folder
• Paper Trimmer
• Pencil
• Tweezers or Pick-Up Tool

• Paint Brushes
• Mini Blending Tools & Foams
• Water Sprayer
• Ranger Archival Black Ink Pad
• Acrylic Block
• Paint Pens (such as Posca or DecoColor)
• Water Container for Cleaning Brushes
• Baby Wipes

• Paper Plate or Palette Paper

• Tiny Stapler and Staples
• Small Notebook and Pen for Taking Notes

Class Policies

• Registration is required at least 48 hours before class to allow the instructor time to prepare your class kit.
• Please bring the required supplies listed for your class.
• Class fees are non-refundable for guest instructors, but you may send someone else in your place just give us a heads up 623-972-0600.
• Please arrive a few minutes early so class can begin on time.
