Calling all black cat lovers! Join Leslie for an afternoon of Halloween paper crafting as you create five playful Black Cats Halloween cards filled with pumpkins, bats, ghosts, candy corn, and some seriously mischievous kitties.

In this class, Leslie will guide you through her paper piecing techniques, showing you how individual cardstock pieces are layered and assembled to create these adorable dimensional characters. You’ll pair your finished black cats with colorful Halloween patterned papers and fun sentiments to create a coordinated collection of cards with loads of personality.

From cats popping out of pumpkins to a kitty hiding behind a bundle of candy corn, every card has its own whimsical Halloween scene. These are definitely more cute than creepy!

Supplies to Bring

Please bring your basic class kit: craft mat, ruler, favorite adhesives (both wet and dry), scissors, bone folder, paper trimmer, pencil, and tweezers/pick-up tool.

Also bring: baby wipes.

What will I make in the Black Cats Halloween Paper Piecing Cards class?
You’ll create five Halloween cards featuring dimensional paper-pieced black cats, pumpkins, bats, ghosts, candy corn, patterned papers, and playful Halloween sentiments.

What is paper piecing?
Paper piecing uses individual cardstock shapes that are cut, layered, and assembled to build a complete character or design. Leslie will guide you through assembling each of the Halloween characters.

Do I need experience with paper piecing?
No. Leslie will walk you through the assembly and layering process for each design.

What supplies should I bring?
Bring your basic class kit, including wet and dry adhesives, scissors, craft mat, ruler, bone folder, paper trimmer, pencil, tweezers or a pick-up tool, plus baby wipes.

Class Registration & Cancellation Policy

Please register for classes at least 48 hours in advance to allow our instructors time to prepare class kits.

Cancellations must be made at least 72 hours before the scheduled class. Cancellations made within this timeframe will receive store credit, and the advance notice gives us an opportunity to contact our waitlist or fill your space.

For cancellations made less than 72 hours before class, you may send someone in your place. When possible, a class kit will be prepared for you to pick up instead.
