About Us

Scraps of Love offers a wide variety of unique products at affordable prices for your paper crafting needs. Supplies for scrapbooking, card making, mixed media projects, rubber art stamps and more.  Our staff of knowledgeable employees are all avid crafters and have decades of experience in many different types of papercrafting.

We have a spacious classroom in Peoria with comfortable seating for up to 22 people depending on the event.  We have open studio times, classes for all levels and types of paper crafting, die cutting services, and mixed media.

Chris started Scraps of Love as a website and independent consulting business for Close To My Heart products and classes in 1997. Chris was searching for the right mix of classes, products, and crops; originally starting with home parties, and expanding to crops at intermittent locations with other consultants and business owners.
 
In 2009, Scraps of Love opened as one of four independent businesses at a single location. The co-op model, named Crop Girls, contained four separate businesses to choose their product mix and class designs, all in a single store. The original location was 1600 square feet in the original Arrowhead Shopping Center.
 
In 2010, realizing the need for a larger space, and a bathroom, the independent businesses under the Crop Girls name, moved to the current location which is 4600+ square feet of paper crafting and classroom goodness!
 
Between 2009 and 2011, several of the independent businesses left for a variety of reasons.
In July 2012 the remaining two independent businesses decided to split, and Scraps of Love took over the location with Christina as the sole owner.
 
Scraps of Love has been successful and expanding thanks to Chris’s leadership, incredible colleagues, highly skilled instructors, and wonderful customers. We are celebrating 20 years as a business, and almost 10 years as an independent retail location. We love our supporters and are thankful every time you come in and see us!
