Turn up the color and get a little messy with Leslie in this Fright Night Mixed Media Cards class! You’ll create a collection of bold Halloween cards filled with vibrant color, spooky characters, layered backgrounds, and playful mixed media details.

Forget traditional orange and black—these cards bring Halloween to life with hot pinks, purples, turquoise, orange, lime green, and dramatic black accents. Leslie will guide you through building colorful mixed media backgrounds using layers of color, stenciling, stamping, mark making, and other techniques before adding whimsical Halloween images like skeletons, ghosts, pumpkins, bats, and spiderwebs.

The result is a collection of Halloween cards that are spooky, colorful, and completely fun!

What mixed media techniques will I learn?
You’ll explore techniques for creating layered backgrounds using bold color, stenciling, stamping, mark making, and other mixed media details. Leslie will show you how to build layers while keeping your finished card design cohesive.

What supplies should I bring?
Bring your basic class kit, including a craft mat, wet and dry adhesives, scissors, bone folder, ruler, pencil, tweezers or pick-up tool, plus an apron, baby wipes, and black NeoColor II.

Do I need mixed media experience?
No previous mixed media experience is required. Leslie will guide you through the techniques used to create the backgrounds and assemble your finished Halloween cards.
