In this hands-on class, you’ll create an art journal spread filled with an eclectic mix of butterflies, florals, vintage-inspired imagery, music elements, layered papers, stenciling, paint, and dimensional details. Leslie will guide you through building your pages layer by layer, combining papers and embellishments with mixed media techniques to create depth and visual interest. You’ll experiment with color, texture, mark making, stenciling, and collage while learning how to bring a variety of elements together into one cohesive art journal spread.

Mixed media is all about playing, experimenting, and making the project your own, so don’t be afraid to get a little messy!

You don’t need to be an experienced mixed media artist to enjoy the class. Leslie will guide you through the techniques and layering process while giving you room to add your own creative touches.

What supplies should I bring?
Bring your basic class kit, including a craft mat, ruler, wet and dry adhesives, scissors, bone folder, paper trimmer, pencil, tweezers or pick-up tool, an apron, and baby wipes.
